The storm system that will impact New England tonight into Mon, has #tropical origins from the Yucatán Peninsula! Also, notice all the lightning flashes approaching western Cuba to south FL. This copious moisture will stream north up the eastern seaboard. #MAwx #RIwx #CTwx pic.twitter.com/avJBgJQLZX

A good way to look at snowfall with this storm is snow depth

Here's an approximation. You see some initial overnight snow falling (roughly midnight to 5a interior spots) but what's left at the end is sloppy mess for interior hills pic.twitter.com/BPKPB8DvAX

Another coastal storm Sunday night-Monday
-This will start as snow-> then change to an icy mix-> then rain as SE winds bring in warmer air off the ocean.
-Best chance of getting close to 6" looks to be N&W of I-495 with higher amounts in the mountains.#WCVB pic.twitter.com/AUTmBAzqPt
WIND CHILL ADVISORY…
— Cindy Fitzgibbon (@Met_CindyFitz) January 14, 2022
Tonight – noon Saturday for FEELS LIKE TEMPS of 15-25 BELOW ZERO. Biting winds and temps in the single digits will make for a BITTER cold start to the weekend. Limit your time outdoors and bring in your pets! #WCVB pic.twitter.com/MwcAGbvZqc
An in-depth (5 min) video look at the dynamic weather setup this weekend that first opens the door to arctic air and then opens the door to a substantial storm. @NBC10Boston @NECN https://t.co/q31UzJ4646

Early to speak confidently on amounts Sun Night/Mon, but we've been sharing our built-in-house @nbc10boston @necn Forecast System on-air for the last few days & it's been consistent in message: pot'l for 6-12" snow deep inland/north, little SE areas & in between is…in between! pic.twitter.com/jeUjo65o0x

Our next storm arrives overnight Sunday night and lasts into Monday. Multiple facets with this one: preceding cold air means a swath of accumulating snow likely for most Sun Night, then rain/snow line marches in from the ocean. Onshore wind, late Mon AM coastal flooding. pic.twitter.com/33sD9JacYQ

Still some wiggle room but consensus for Monday's storm looks west indicating less of a winter event here in central and eastern MA. pic.twitter.com/GBEoqlaQKD

Way to early for specifics for next Monday… still a lot of spread in the computer models, but you can see that shift northwest today, which would bring more rain to SNE and snow north and west. #WBZ pic.twitter.com/YLgUaaf4IQ
