Parts of Massachusetts will see some accumulating snow on Monday.
The National Weather Service is predicting that a storm moving up the coast from the Carolinas will bring snowfall to the south coast during the mid-to-late morning, with the steadiest and heaviest snow expected during the afternoon and early evening.
“The highest totals are expected across Nantucket & Martha’s Vineyard where a Winter Storm Watch has been issued,” service forecasters said.
Nantucket could see as much as 6 inches of accumulation, while parts of Cape Cod may see a few inches.
Below, seven maps showing how much snow parts of the state could see from the storm.

Snow forecast that has been airing this AM on @nbc10boston and @necn – VERY sharp drop-off of snow on northern side of the storm. Notice 15 MILES between 4" and 1" forecast – slight jog either direction has impact on amounts, however…impacts generally likely the same (thread) pic.twitter.com/FpT6kZCfUX
