Following the release of the forthcoming deluxe version of their chart-topping 2020 album, The Slow Rush, psychedelic rockers Tame Impala hit TD Garden on Wednesday, March 16.

Tame Impala is the brainchild of musician Kevin Parker, who writes and records all of Tame Impala’s music solo. The Australian multi-instrumentalist broke onto the scene in 2010 with his debut album Innerspeaker before recording three more studio albums. The most recent, The Slow Rush, Tame Impala’s highest charting album to date, is a record of groovy electronic sounds infused with the beat of house music, as complementary to the bright lights and pulsing vibes of a live show as to a chill night at home.

In just over 10 years, Tame Impala went from indie darling to one of the world’s biggest rock bands, headlining music festivals like Coachella, Austin City Limits, Firefly, and Boston Calling. In concert, Parker is joined by musicians Jay Watson, Dominic Simper, Julien Barbagallo, and Cam Avery.

Tickets are currently on sale, while the event organizers say they’re monitoring the local COVID-19 situation and “will meet or exceed protocols mandated by local governments.”
