Boston firefighters worked for two hours to rescue a dog that had become trapped in a drainpipe in West Roxbury’s Millenium Park.

Around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 4-year-old dog Hubert, nicknamed Bubba, according to WCVB, ran into an open culvert when he heard a loud noise and became stuck.

The crews used a camera to locate the dog’s position, National Grid told WCVB a backhoe was brought in to assist with the rescue.

It took about two hours to free Hubert, and he appeared healthy and uninjured when he made it out of the pipe around 4:00 p.m.
